WASHINGTON, DC – After a thrilling come-from-behind victory by the Kansas City Chiefs over the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LIV, President Trump sent a congratulatory tweet thanking Miami, Ohio, for hosting an exciting football game.

“Truly tremendous event in Miami. Yuge ratings, almost as good as mine,” tweeted Trump. “It’s even more impressive that Ohio had an 85 degree day in February. Really smart planning by Governor Mike DeWine.”

It didn’t take long for pro-Trump media like Fox and Friends to jump to the defense of the President, with co-host Steve Doocy stating, “Earlier, apparently, [Trump] had sent out a tweet that said congratulations to the people of Ohio,” Doocy said. “Miami is in Ohio, and it is also in Florida. I should know; I just googled it.”

“It’s like congratulating the Giants,” he added. “They are a football team in New York, but they also play baseball in San Francisco.”

The tweet was deleted from the President’s account minutes later, but not before Trump went on to praise Ohio for “a pre-game ceremony that paid tremendous respect to the victims of the Bowling Green Massacre.”
